As Alderman, Christine will work closely with residents to address your interests, concerns and vision for Winter Hill and Ten Hills. As a voice for working families in out community, Christine will prioritize:
Christine will find opportunities to bring businesses to our neighborhood that create good local jobs and meet the needs of our community. In places like the empty Star Market building, she will actively work to bring in development that is good for the community. Development is an investment in our community and must be good for residents, not just developers.
Christine will ensure we invest in the future of Somerville by keeping our schools strong. She will actively work to make sure our children receive the first-rate education they deserve by making improvements to the Winter Hill Community School and the Healey School so they can continue to offer diverse and innovative opportunities for all students.
Christine will work to keep our streets safe and accessible. She will fight for the timely design and construction of the Green Line Extension, and make sure neighbors have a voice in that process. She will work with the MBTA and city officials to keep our streets, sidewalks and public transportation safe and easy to access for all residents.
Christine enjoys living on Thurston Street, and knows that Winter Hill and Ten Hills are excellent neighborhoods for families to live and grow. She will work with residents, community leaders and other elected officials to keep the community affordable, so all residents can continue to thrive in our neighborhoods.
